River & Rails an Adirondack Adventure ( photo diary )

The Adirondack Park in upstate NY is a great resource for recreation activities. The day trip recorded in this photo diary is a nice one. I've done it two times now and enjoyed both runs. This trip starts out on the middle fork of the Moose River in the town of Old Forge. There you will find Tickner's Moose River Paddling where you make arrangements to take this trip. ( call ahead for reservations ) You paddle downstream for about six miles and meet the Leaf Peeper Train that will bring you and your boat back to Thendara where the Tickner's folks pick you and your boat up for a short ride back to thier place.
