I recently signed a petition to my elected representatives in the U.S. Congress opposing granting the Obama administration Fast Track authority on the proposed T.P.P. (Trans Pacific Partenship) trade agreement. I recieved an email responce from Senator Gillibrand. (NY) It does not surprize me, although it might open the eyes of a few of her staunch supporters. The communication states that she has signed on to a letter asking President Obama to instruct his trade representative to include certain items in the agreement. She fails to address the central issue in the petition of denying "fast track" authority. She also fails to address the issue of international corporations gaining legal advantage over local laws and regulations. I am disappointed by her apparent lack of willingness to challenge the Oligarchy. Hey, at least she responded with a form letter. Senator Schumer couldn't be bothered to even try. Look below the orange smoke and mirrors cloud to read it for yourself. Make up your own mind about her position.
